Continental Workshop for Concerted Local Approaches in Peace Building and Conflict Transformation.

Continental Workshop for Concerted Local Approaches in Peace Building and Conflict Transformation.

Africa as a continent is blessed with enormous resources both human and natural endowments, but not without enormous challenges that impede on its wellbeing. We give gratitude to God that most countries within the continent are not experiencing armed conflicts though sustainable peace rooted in justice for all is constantly being challenged.
Since beginning of 2018, the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) has been implementing a project to strengthen peacebuilding and conflict resolution interventions in Africa. With the hope of contributing to various efforts to address challenges to sustainable peace and harmonious coexistence in the continent, AACC organized a continental program that brought together 70 peace program people from AACC constituencies from 26th to 29th November 2019
Objectives of the workshop were to share skills/knowledge/information on concerted local approaches in peacebuilding and conflict transformation and to document practical actions and working interventions/strategies on sustainable peace and development.
After 4 days of productive engagements the immediate outcomes of the workshop was increased knowledge of working models in peacebuilding and conflict transformation and a document detailing practical steps and working models.
