Public Lecture On African Theology Of Mission “Re-Visiting Arusha 2018: Highlights Of African Missiology” (Aacc/Wcc)

World Council of Churches Conference on World Mission and Evangelism was organised in Arusha, Tanzania, in March 2018. The conference was the most African and the most ecumenical of any ecumenical conferences since the World Missionary Conference, Edinburgh 1910, and was a huge success in many ways.
Africa has become the most Christian continent in numbers. Many highly competent African theologians were able to make himself/herself visible and audible in the conference, and yet, many could not. A one-day theological seminar will give space to some excellent theological reflections prepared for the Arusha Conference to become concrete, as well as create space for new reflections based on the Arusha Call to Discipleship, a key document and outcome of the Arusha conference. The lectures will be streamed and will thus be public and global.
The seminar will be held in Desmond Tutu Centre in the AACC compound in Nairobi, Kenya, and organised by the Commission on World Mission and Evangelism/WCC and All Africa Conference of Churches.
