Thrust 1: High-Level Ecumenical Diplomacy
The programme will continue to engage distinguished and experienced persons to utilize the available reservoir of experts in preparation for task of preventive advocacy, diplomacy and peace building.

Thrust 2: Good Governance and Democratic Transitions
The programme will continue to create awareness among churches about their responsibility and involvement in ensuring there is good and accountable governance and democratic transition, so as to prevent conflict before, during and after elections.

Thrust 3: Intervention in Specific Burning Situations
This is in consonance with the mandate of the AACC within the framework of the Peace and Advocacy Programme.

Thrust 4: Migration and Human Trafficking
The phenomenon of migration and human trafficking became the highest threat to African dignity. It became urgent to advocate about it and to mobilize churches for prevention together with promoting better living conditions in our countries.

Thrust 5: Economic Justice And Poverty Eradication
This thrust seeks to introduce deliberate change through efforts that aim at eradicating poverty and promoting economic justice.

Thrust 6: Leadership Development For Self-sustainability
Empowerment and Capacity Building is intended to build institutional and individual abilities and capabilities towards effective stewardship, accountability and transparency.

Thrust 7: Food Security And Climate Change In Africa
This thrust provides space and platform for advocacy, awareness creation, sensitisation on factors that inhibit food security such as land tenure systems and promotion of solidarity with the marginalised in the Church and Society.
The thrust will also focus on awareness creation on climate change and vital action to be taken by individuals communities and Nations.

Thrust 8: Networking And Collaboration With Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)
In the last 10 years, the AACC has worked closely with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and they have complimented each other in the area of economic justice, climate change, peace building and conflict resolutions and this collaboration will continue.
