AACC General Committee Meeting ended with Prayers for Countries Facing Wars and Conflicts
The AACC General Committee meeting held in Nairobi Kenya on 19th – 20th November 2025 ended with a moving moment of reflections and prayers for African countries experiencing wars and conflicts. The meeting deliberated on the news and reports received from the Churches in Madagascar, Cameroun, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Nigeria and DRC on the impact of the armed conflicts in these countries and need for the AACC to continue supporting and accompanying their quest for peace.
In their reflections, General Committee members expressed profound spiritual and ecumenical solidarity with the churches in these countries and al nations experiencing difficult situations across Africa, prayed for the restoration of peace and encouraged transformative actions aimed at fostering Justice, reconciliation, peace and unity across the continent.
Ahead of the closing ceremony, the meeting reviewed membership applications and admitted the Free Methodist Church in Burundi as an AACC member.
