Second All Africa Youth Congress Closes With Celebration And Commitment To Africa’s Future

The Second All Africa Youth Congress (AAYC) concluded in a spirit of joy and gratitude on Tuesday evening with a colorful closing dinner and awarding ceremony at the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) headquarters in Nairobi marking an end of a week filled with faith, learning and renewed dedication to building a peaceful and prosperous Africa under the congress theme “Africa My Home. My Future.”

The evening brought together delegates, partners and organizers for a celebration of achievements and partnerships forged during the Congress. Rev. Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, AACC General Secretary, graced the occasion expressing his deep appreciation for the vibrant participation of Africa’s youth and the tireless efforts of the organizers.

In his remarks, Rev. Mwombeki commended the youth for their passion, creativity and commitment to transforming Africa through faith and action. He emphasized that the Congress had not ended, but rather “planted seeds of transformation that will grow across the continent.”
During the ceremony, Rev. Mwombeki presented awards of appreciation to members of the AAYC Steering Committee, national coordinators and support staff who played a crucial role in planning and delivering the successful continental gathering.

As the Congress officially closed, delegates reaffirmed their commitment to carry forward the resolutions and spirit of the week into their churches, communities and nations.
