Continental Capacity Strengthening on Advocacy for Environmental Care, Stewardship, and Economic Justice
- 7 views
The All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) has continued to technically support the work of the Africa Faith Actors Network for Climate Justice (AFAN-CJ) and Economic Justice Champions across the continent. This has amplified faith actions in the areas of ecological and economic justice. The particular interest of faith actors in ecological and economic justice issues is informed by the fact that environmental and economic matters raise ethical and moral questions that demand their responses. Thus, the planned continental capacity strengthening session in Nairobi is meant to create a platform for deepening the capacity of members on environmental care and stewardship, as well as advocacy efforts on economic justice at the continental and global levels. Thus, the meeting will also contribute to the faith positions for engagement at policy platforms such as the Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa and the African Ministerial Conference on Environment (AMCEN), as well as COP30 in Brazil. Furthermore, the is meant to harmonize conversations around climate and economic justice. Ecological and economic justice will become the rallying call for the faith actors in Africa.
