The AACC-CETA Renewed its Memorandum

The All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with the African Union Commission (AUC). The ceremony of signing the memorandum took place on Friday 8th September 2023 at the Citizens and Diaspora Directorate (CIDO) offices in the AUC compound. The signing was presided over by the AU Office of the Legal Counsel (OLC) in Addis Ababa. The memorandum was signed by Ms. Betty Wangozi, Acting Director of AU- CIDO, on behalf of the AUC and the Rev Dr. Fidon Mwombeki, the AACC General Secretary. Ms. Betty expressed her gratitude to the AACC for mobilizing faith communities across the continent to champion the achievement of the Agenda 2063. She revealed her assurance that renewing the MoU would strengthen the work between the AACC and the AUC for the development of the African Continent. In his remarks, Dr. Fidon Mwombeki indicated that as a faith-based organization, the AACC has a critical role to play in achieving the African Dream. He urged the young people to be committed to the transformation of the continent since Africa remains our home and our future.
