Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3, NIV)
Ecumenical greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and thanks be to God for sustaining us through Lent. I pray that the spiritual nourishment and growth experienced during this period remains evident in our lives and service to God and humanity.
The Easter season is here again and we thank God for the joys it brings in our lives. This season invites us to pause from our daily routines to commemorate the death of our Lord Jesus Christ, His glorious resurrection and the significance of these experiences in our lives. At a time like now; when political, social, economic and ecological insecurities seem to be on a rise, when many people are gripped by the fears perpetuated by the selfish decisions made by tyrant leaders, and others find themselves grappling with the terrible feeling of helplessness at the face of adversities, Easter serves as a reminder of the assurance we have to overcome all things through Christ and the power of His resurrection. This is our living hope!
As we observe and celebrate this season, may this hope be renewed in our lives and inspire us to remain steadfast in our Christian journey, transforming injustices and affirming the freedom we receive from Christ’s salvific works.
