Applications open for AACC’s 6th Annual Theological Symposium

Through its Theology and Interfaith Relations unit, the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC), invites church leaders, theologians, and other interested parties in Africa, from the middle east and in the diaspora to apply for the 6th Annual Theological Symposium scheduled for 6th – 10th October 2025 at the Desmond Tutu Conference Centre in Nairobi Kenya.

AACC has been holding annual theological symposia on addressing misleading theologies in Africa since 2019. This year’s symposium will run with the theme: African Churches on Israel and Palestine.  The event will facilitate; consensus building on African churches’ relationship with Israel and Palestine, the development of biblical hermeneutical approaches to Zionism and pilgrimage for use by member churches, the interrogation of the misinterpretation of ecclesial authenticities and identities and its impact on African churches and the development of a framework on addressing middle east churches expectations.

Participants intending to contribute papers for discussion at the symposium and thereafter for consideration for publication as part of the event’s outputs are encouraged to submit abstracts of their contributions following the guideline laid down in the concept note attached below. The application deadline is 15th May 2025.
