AACC Congratulates the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church Upon the Consecration of its 6th Patriarch
His Eminence Abune Basliyos was elected the 6th Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church by the Holy Synod of the church convened on 9th December 2024. His Consecration and Enthronement took place on 26th January 2025 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Asmara, Eriteria. While presenting AACC’s greetings and congratulatory message at the joyful occasion, the AACC president, Rt. Rev. Lydia Neshangwe noted that leadership of the church in the modern day is both a privilege and a challenge. She pledged the ecumenical fellowships prayers and support to His Eminence Abune and the Entire church.
She prayed God to grant His Holiness Abune Basliyos the wisdom of Solomon, the missional vision of the Apostle Paul, and the faith of Queen Esther.
“Believe that you have been called to this leadership and servanthood role for such a time as this.” She noted.
